Terms of service
Last updated October 19, 2026
These terms govern your use of the UptimePilot service available at uptimepilot.com. The service is provided by the administrator of the uptimepilot.com service, referred to below as "we" or "us". By creating an account or using the service you accept these terms, the privacy policy and the refund policy. Questions go to [email protected].
1. The service
UptimePilot monitors the availability and performance of websites, APIs, servers, ports, certificates, domains and scheduled jobs that you configure, sends alerts through the channels you choose, publishes status pages and produces uptime reports. The features and limits of each plan are described on the uptime monitoring pricing page.
The service is intended for businesses and professionals. By using it you confirm that you act for business purposes or that you are at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement.
2. Accounts and teams
You must provide a valid email address and keep your password secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for the members you invite to your team, including their compliance with these terms. Tell us right away at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Plans and subscriptions
The service is sold as a subscription billed monthly or yearly in US dollars, at the prices shown on the pricing page at the time of purchase. Yearly billing is charged in advance for twelve months. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. Taxes may apply depending on your location.
There is no free plan. The public demo check on the website is a one-off tool with daily limits, and it is not a subscription.
Each plan includes limits, such as the number of monitors, heartbeats, status pages, SMS alerts per month, team members and data history. When a limit is reached, new items of that kind cannot be added until you move to a higher plan. Monthly SMS allowances reset with each billing period and do not carry over.
4. Plan changes
You can move to a higher plan at any time. The difference for the rest of the current period is charged immediately, and the higher plan becomes active once that payment succeeds. Moving to a lower plan takes effect at the next renewal, and no part of the current period is refunded.
5. Acceptable use
You may monitor only websites, endpoints, servers and services that you own or are authorized to monitor. You must not use the service to:
- send load tests, floods or any traffic intended to disrupt a system,
- probe, scan or attack systems you are not authorized to test,
- reach private or internal networks through the demo check or any monitor,
- publish unlawful, misleading or infringing content on a status page,
- send alerts or status updates to people who did not agree to receive them,
- resell or share access to the service outside your team, except client reports and status pages provided as part of your own services,
- bypass plan limits, rate limits or security measures.
We may pause monitors, limit check frequency or suspend an account that breaches these rules or puts the service or third parties at risk.
6. Your data and content
You keep all rights to the configuration, check results and content you add to the service. You give us permission to process them only to provide the service to you. You are responsible for the content of your status pages and reports and for having a lawful basis to add the personal data of others, such as alert contacts and status page subscribers.
7. Availability of the service
We work to keep the service available and to deliver checks and alerts promptly. Checks run from more than one region, and alerts depend on networks and delivery providers outside our control, such as mobile carriers and email systems. We do not guarantee that every check runs at the exact interval or that every alert is delivered within a specific time. Planned maintenance is announced in advance where possible.
The service tells you when your systems appear to be unavailable. It does not prevent outages, and you remain responsible for operating and protecting your own systems.
8. Payments and refunds
Payments are made through our payment processor. Payments are final, and the only exceptions are described in the refund policy. Opening a chargeback without first contacting us at [email protected] is a breach of these terms and leads to closure of the account.
If a renewal payment fails, the payment processor retries it. The amount for a period that has already started remains due, and we may limit the account until it is paid.
9. Cancellation and termination
You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals, and the plan stays active until the end of the period already paid for. You can close your account at any time, which deletes monitors, results, status pages and team data.
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, fails to pay, or is used in a way that harms the service or others. Where possible, we give notice first.
10. Disclaimer
Except as required by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted operation.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including lost revenue, lost profits or lost data, arising from the use of the service, including missed or delayed checks or alerts. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the three months before the event that gave rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the service or the law changes. We publish the new version on this page with a new date and notify account owners by email about material changes. Continued use of the service after the changes take effect means you accept them. If you do not accept them, you can cancel before the next renewal.
13. Consumer rights
If you are a consumer, mandatory consumer protection laws of your country apply where they give you more rights than these terms. By subscribing, you ask us to start providing the service immediately and acknowledge that the statutory right of withdrawal ends once the service has begun, as explained in the refund policy.
