UptimeRobot alternative for agencies with client reports and status pages

Published October 21, 2026

UptimeRobot is a good, inexpensive monitor for a handful of sites. Agencies outgrow it on seats, client separation and reporting: its Team plan includes 3 login seats, with more seats sold one by one. UptimePilot Business gives 25 members, 1,000 monitors, per client groups, 20 white label status pages and white-label monthly reports for $124 a month billed yearly.

Why agencies look for an UptimeRobot alternative

Most agencies start on UptimeRobot because it is cheap and quick to set up. The reasons they start pricing alternatives tend to show up once the client list passes 20 or 30 sites.

  • Seats. UptimeRobot's Team plan lists 3 login seats and 3 notify seats, and extra login seats are sold per month. An agency with eight developers and two account managers pays for seats on top of the plan.
  • Free plan terms. UptimeRobot describes its Free plan as good for hobby and non-profit projects. Monitoring client sites you bill for is commercial work, so a free account under a paid retainer is a risk you carry for the client.
  • Client separation. When every client lives in one flat list of monitors, alert routing, reports and status pages have to be stitched together by hand.
  • Proof for the client. Care plans renew on visible work. A monthly uptime report with your logo, sent with the invoice, does more for renewals than a dashboard nobody outside the agency opens.

If none of these apply to you, stay where you are. UptimeRobot is cheaper for small setups and the honest answer is that a freelancer with ten sites rarely needs more.

UptimeRobot vs UptimePilot for agencies

The table compares the points agencies ask about most. UptimeRobot figures are from its pricing page as served to us in October 2026, where prices were shown in euros. US visitors may see dollar amounts, and plans change, so confirm before you decide.

UptimeRobot UptimePilot
Entry paid plan, billed yearly Solo, listed at €9 a month Starter, $24 a month
Agency tier, billed yearly Team, listed at €35 a month, or Scale at €65 Business, $124 a month
Monitors on agency tier 100 on Team, 200 or 500 on Scale 1,000 on Business
Login seats included 3 on Team, 5 on Scale 25 on Business
Fastest check interval 30 seconds on Team, 15 seconds on Scale 30 seconds from Team
White label status pages Team and Scale Business and Enterprise, 20 pages on Business
Per client groups with own alert rules Not listed as a plan feature Yes, every plan
White-label monthly client reports Not listed Business and Enterprise
SMS alerts Credits bought in packs 150 a month on Team, more on higher plans

Where UptimeRobot wins: price per monitor at small scale, and 15 second checks on Scale. Where UptimePilot wins: seats, client groups and reports for a whole agency team, because they are in the plan instead of bought separately.

What a 60 client agency pays

Take an agency with 60 client sites, 10 people who need to log in, and four monitors per site (homepage keyword, one inner page, SSL and domain). That is 240 monitors.

  • On UptimeRobot, 240 monitors needs Scale with the 500 monitor option, which includes 5 login seats. Five more seats are bought monthly on top. Status pages are included, client reports are not listed, so the agency builds them by hand or in another tool.
  • On UptimePilot, 240 monitors fits Business at $124 a month billed yearly. Ten people fit inside the 25 members included, every client gets a group and a white-label report, and up to 20 clients get a branded status page on their own domain.

Agencies with fewer than 10 clients and two people logging in will usually pay less on UptimeRobot. Past that point, the extra seats and the time spent assembling reports decide it.

Client reports are the part agencies actually sell

Monitoring is in most care plans, and clients rarely see it, so it is the first line they question at renewal. The monthly report fixes that. Each client group on Business gets a PDF with your logo showing the month's uptime percent, response time percentiles, every incident with its duration and the SSL and domain renewals coming up.

Send it with the invoice. A client who sees 99.97 percent uptime and two incidents your team resolved within minutes understands what the retainer covers. If clients pay late anyway, a separate tool that chases overdue retainer invoices by email and SMS keeps that conversation away from your developers. The full report contents are on uptime monitoring service.

Status pages per client, under the client's name

Larger clients want a status page their own customers can check. On UptimePilot each client group can publish one on status.clientname.com, with their logo and colors and no UptimePilot branding on Business. Components follow the monitors in that group, so the page changes when a check confirms an outage. Setup and plan limits are on white label status page.

How to move from UptimeRobot in an afternoon

  1. 01 Export your monitors. UptimeRobot's API lists all your monitors, so you have names, URLs and intervals in one file.
  2. 02 Create one group per client in UptimePilot and import the URLs into each group. Business includes a REST API if you prefer to script it.
  3. 03 Add a keyword to each homepage check. A phrase that only appears on a working page catches white screens and error pages that still return 200.
  4. 04 Recreate alert routing per group: the developer on the account by email or Slack, SMS for stores and lead generation sites.
  5. 05 Point status subdomains to the new pages with a CNAME record.
  6. 06 Run both tools side by side for two weeks, compare alerts, then cancel the old plan.

Most agencies with 50 to 100 client sites finish steps 1 to 4 in an afternoon. The setup for client WordPress portfolios is covered on WordPress uptime monitoring.

When UptimeRobot is still the better choice

  • You monitor fewer than 20 sites and two people log in.
  • You need 15 second checks, which UptimeRobot sells on Scale.
  • You do not send clients reports or status pages and only need alerts for your own team.
  • Your budget for monitoring is under $20 a month.

In those cases switching costs time and saves nothing. The move pays off when seats, client separation and reports start eating hours each month.

Which UptimePilot plan replaces your UptimeRobot setup

  • Starter, $24 a month billed yearly: 50 monitors, 1 minute checks, 3 members. For a freelancer with about ten client sites.
  • Team, $49 a month billed yearly: 200 monitors, 30 second checks, 5 status pages on custom domains, 10 members, monthly SLA PDF.
  • Business, $124 a month billed yearly: 1,000 monitors, 20 white label status pages, 25 members, white-label client reports, REST API. The usual choice for agencies.
  • Enterprise, $299 a month billed yearly: 3,000 monitors, 50 status pages, 100 members, SSO (SAML) and audit log.

Monthly billing is $49, $99, $249 and $599. More detail on uptime monitoring for agencies and pricing.
